The DevLab is an interdisciplinary research group within the Human-Computer Interaction Institute of Carnegie Mellon University. We develop new fabrication techniques for creating sensors and interactive devices, build digital tools that enable novices to make functional and usable objects, and study how people use and interact with technology.

Our work blends hardware, software, and human-centered approaches to explore digital fabrication, assistive technology, mobile sensing, and augmented reality.
